B G Cycles & Blades LTD

BG have worked on my families bikes for 20 years. Always helpful, always friendly. Got my sons bike and my bike repaired today. Delighted with jobs and price. Also got practical lesson on how to remove and reinstall my back wheel should I get a puncture on my commute to and from work. Happy to endorse this great local business! 😎

Best bike shop I've ever been too. High standards and friendly service, the mechanics take pride in their work. I had my rear wheel hub repaired on one occasion and the second occasion the rear brake caliper fluid changed and bled. Quickly repaired and a great price for the work carried out. Highly recommend! :)

Dropped the car off for a health check, because I'm going to be doing a lot of driving in the near future. It's always tricky when you're female and/or have little knowledge of cars. Always worried if they are they going to be honest with me?!? But I shouldn't have worried. The check was done quickly and staff were very helpful. The report came back that the car's in good condition- and they gave me a recommendation for something that will be needed - but not immediately. So no unexpected bill :-) Also - the car needed wheel-trims (I learned these aren't called hubcaps any more!) and the chap on the desk initially said the store next door would fit them for me. But he then arranged for the garage to fit them for me. Small thing, but was much appreciated. Will definitely be back.

Big shout out to the beautiful gent who rescued my cleat from my bike pedal and refitted it to my shoes then sorted out the alignment for me. I put the shoes back on when i made it along the road to the cycle path to sunny Puerta Bella and had no further mishaps all the way back through Edinburgh and along the canal back to Polmont. You sir, are a true hero. Thank you so much. Think i completed at least 90 miles today and the last 10 were almost as easy as the first 10 because of those cleats. Big love to you, Sir from the Giant rider wi aw the gear and nae idea. x

Single Speed Edinburgh

49 Restalrig Rd, Edinburgh EH6 8BD, UK – 07552 239384

I recently purchased one of Danny's many excellent bikes and couldn't be happier. The build quality is tremendous and Danny went above a beyond to get me the right bike. If you are looking to get back to pure cycling without gears and also looking for a truly unique bike I would highly recommend Single speed Edinburgh. The only trouble is picking which bike to take home.

Absolutely love my Raleigh Racer! The vintage frame (Reynolds 501) is in brilliant condition and gives it such character! They really knew how to make bike frames back then - the frame is sturdy and the custom build by Single Speed makes it a dream to ride! The bike I got is black with red decals, but the other bikes come in really bright colours - fantastic and varied choice of detailing and features, would highly recommend!
