Local libraries may offer more than you expect. As well as books and magazines, libraries lend music, DVDs and computer games. Some have coffee shops and all offer free internet access. We need to use them or we will lose them.

Piershill Library

30 Piershill Terrace, Edinburgh EH8 7BQ, UK – 0131 529 5685

While it's a great community library with a good selection of books and friendly capable staff, it would be great if the council could prioritise morning and longer opening hours

nice library and quiet.

Portobello Library

14 Rosefield Ave, Edinburgh EH15 1AU, UK – 0131 529 5558

A very appropriate place to read and enjoy reading. Sometimes it's a little bit noise, but only at specific moments (young students doing homeworks)

Very kind and helpful staff.

Craigmillar Library

101 Niddrie Mains Rd, Edinburgh EH16 4DS, UK – 0131 529 5597

In the afternoon it can be really noisy with the children running about and screaming Apart from that it's ok And staff there are always nice and friendly.

Great hub for local community. As well as library also has tea room, public wi-fi access and on site P.C.'s for use. Oh, and you can borrow or read a book on site, among other things.
